About Me

My name is Darren, and my life can be split into 3 different sections. The first one, as a child, much like a lot of boys growing up, I wanted to be a footballer. I played from when I was 4 until I was 15, I loved it, and despite not having the natural talent to be a professional, I had a goal, a dream, an aim. This is where the 2nd section begins.

I was diagnosed with a rare, degenerative disease which turned my life upside down. Unable to work, becoming disabled, and a wheelchair user, everything changed. I took up horse riding, specifically equestrian, for fitness and to harness my competitiveness, and I got to a pretty high level, competing nationally, so my goal and aim turned toward competing in the Paralympics for Team GB. Then COVID hit. I wasn’t allowed to ride, for my safety, for 2 years. My body has regressed and returning to that physical level, is impossible.

So, I’ve had to adapt again. I’ve always had a love of technology, phones, computers, laptops, tablets, TVs, you name it, it’s always interested me. So, here we are. My blog about the tech I use, every day. It’s given me a new goal, a new aim, somewhere to direct my passion and energy, even if it doesn’t go anywhere, it’s fun. So that’s me, I’m 32, and I love tech, and that’s why I’m here.

I do hope that my reviews can hope my reviews can have a positive impact on others, I have considered making YouTube video’s but my condition has affected my voice and I worry it would be hard to understand me (I still may do it in the future)
