MY THOUGHTS

My previous GPU, a MSI GeForce 2080 SUPER, was, although capable of playing the newest games, it did so in medium graphics settings, and with temperatures hitting 85+ degrees C. So I decided that after 5 years of it being a good, reliable card, it was time to upgrade.

Enter the MSI GeForce RTX 5070ti INSPIRE 3X OC. First off, it has 3 fans, compared to my 2080 SUPER’s 2. It was a bit of a tighter squeeze in my case, and required me to unplug my front USB cable, but the trade off has been easily worth it.

It claims ‘enhanced cooling’ and it delivers. I’ve played multiple AAA games, like for example, the Battlefield 6 Open Beta, in its highest settings, 120 FPS, and it didn’t go above 65 degrees C, and this is in 2K resolution on an Ultrawide monitor too. I was blown away. The only game to have given it any trouble, was CyberPunk 2077 and thats only with path-tracing enabled. Even then it didn’t go above 68 Degrees C. It just dropped some FPS, which is understandable, its not a 5090!

VERDICT

If you’re in the market for a fairly high-end GPU, I can’t recommend this one enough. Yes, it’s pricey at £729.95 on Amazon, but good graphics cards are, unfortunately. In terms of performance, thermals and noise (its really quiet) its a very good graphics card. 5 stars.
